A Perfect Pairing: Doug and Susan Zucker
Bridgewater Wines + Dines is owned by Doug and Susan Zucker who bring their expertise into crafting a unique food and wine experience anyone can enjoy. Doug is passionate in sharing his vast wine knowledge with guests and has built close relationships with many wineries and producers from around the world.
Susan, a former culinary professor and current culinary CEO at Bridgewater, has crafted the perfect food and wine pairing menu. Their children also play an instrumental part of the family business.
Together, the Zuckers created Bridgewater Wines + Dines with the goal of offering an ever-changing selection of great wines in all price points and allowing customers to “Explore the World One Wine at a Time.”®
The Bridgewater Journey
Since its inception in 2018, Bridgewater Wines opened up as a wine shop with just seven bar seats and limited charcuterie menu. Including an expanded location in Porters Neck, Bridgewater has grown to offer much more:
Eat: Dine at Bridgewater Wines + Dines and savor their eclectic menu. Whether enjoying a meal in-house or having them cater your next event, a delightful culinary experience is guaranteed.

Shop: The shop offers over 1,000 carefully curated wines from around the world at competitive prices, handpicked by owners Susan and Doug Zucker for customers’ enjoyment.
Coming Soon… New Leland Location!
Bridgewater Wines + Dines is excited to announce a new location in Leland, NC, with an estimated opening date of Spring 2025! The new venue, located on Waterford Business Center Way, will be triple the size of their current Leland space. This brand-new venue will offer a separate event area, plenty of outdoor seating, and an expanded menu of delicious dinner entrees. They will also start serving lunch at this new location. There will be room to host larger events and be more creative than ever before!
The Explorers Club and Award-Winning Wine Selection
Bridgewater Wines + Dines is a hub for wine enthusiasts! One of the standout features is their monthly wine club, “The Explorers Club,” which currently has over 700 members! This club offers members two options to explore a variety of wines through exclusive tastings and events. The store’s commitment to variety and value has been voted #1 for the “Best Wine Selection” six years in a row by WWAY’s Viewer Choice Awards, WECT Best of Cape Fear, and Star News Shore Picks.
