Help celebrate the Cape Fear River and welcome the fall season at this year’s Riverfest! October 2-4, head to downtown Wilmington for three days of free entertainment, live music, water competitions, an arts and crafts street fair, exhibitions, kids’ activities, fireworks and more!

This year’s Riverfest will continue the festival’s long-held tradition of having continuous live music playing throughout the event. There will be a variety of performers showcasing their talents on the Main Stage at Riverfront Park and the Beer Garden stage.

The Cotton Exchange will host the Riverfest Kidz Zone which will have activities geared toward younger festival-goers. Bring the kids and grandkids to enjoy face and hair painting, balloon art, games, amusements, arts and crafts, clowns, rides, an obstacle course, festival mascots, live entertainment and more.

Riverfest will feature two car shows, the Sun Coast Cruisers’ Classic Car Show on Saturday, October 3rd from 10 am until 6 pm, and the Cape Fear Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Antique Car Show on Sunday, October 4th from 10:30 am until 3 pm.

The Cape Fear Rowing Club will hold a rowing regatta Sunday, October 4th from 11 am until 6 pm. There will be eight separate races, starting on the half hour from noon until 4 pm. The event is free to watch and open to the public. To learn more or to enter in the regatta, visit the Cape Fear Rowing Club website.
