Now that fall season is upon us, it’s time to take advantage of all the fun festivities happening in our area! From haunted hay rides to cultural events in downtown Wilmington, NC, we’ve comprised a list featuring a little bit everything that allows you to explore the area and have some family fun outside the Brunswick Forest community.
- On October 29th-30th, take a trip to Holden Beach for the North Carolina Festival by the Sea. Enjoy live musical entertainment, contests and tournaments, and fun for the kids during this annual event!
- Get ready to be spooked on the Haunted Trail at Ocean Isle Beach! At 7:00pm on October 28th-29th and on Halloween, join in the fantastically scary, family-friendly event for only $10 per person.
- Join the Trick or Trot: 5k or 1-Mile Walk Fundraiser on October 29th, starting at 8:30am! Happening at Greenfield Lake, go show your support for the county-wide Tar Heels Go Walking initiative and the historic preservation in the Lower Cape Fear Area.
- Take a trip to the Holiday Market in Shallotte on November 19th, where local farmers and vendors will have a rich supply of winter crops, handmade jewelry, pottery, and more!
ALL YOUR FALL FUN IS JUST A SHORT RIDE AWAY
With cooler weather, utilize all that the local area has to offer! Play a few rounds of golf at Brunswick Forest’s Cape Fear National; indulge in fine dining at the various restaurants in Southport’s historic Yacht Basin; or visit the wide assortment of gallerias and museums in Downtown Wilmington.
