Good Brews and Good Times

What’s a good way to spend a crisp Autumn Carolina evening out in Leland? How about brews, ciders, friends, all in the comfort of your neighborhood backyard? Brunswick Forest residents and beer lovers can rejoice now that Leland’s first major brewery, Brunswick Beer and Cider, has finally opened its doors!

Open for Business

After months of waiting, Lelanders are going to have a major brewery of their own! Considered an offshoot of the regionally famous Wrightsville Beach Brewery in Wilmington, Brunswick Beer and Cider promises to be THE place to meet up and enjoy your favorite micro-brew craft beverages.

Continuing a Legacy

Wrightsville Beach Brewery, founded by owner Jud Watkins, has long nurtured Southeastern North Carolina’s rapidly growing craft beer industry. Breweries of all sizes have become a popular and economically important piece of the Wilmington area’s culture. Despite this, the Leland area has not had a true brewpub of its own, that is, until now!

Good Brews Right at Home

This is important for Brunswick Forest residents, as this new brewery Brunswick Beer and Cidery is located inside the Villages Town Center. Residents no longer must worry about going over the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge just to enjoy a craft brewing experience. Brunswick Beer and Cider, combined with The Joyce and the brew den in Lowes Foods, has made Brunswick Forest into the beer and cider lover’s paradise!

Local Brews for a Local Economy

With so much business at Wrightsville Beach Brewery, Jud was hoping to help share some of that success with other locations in the Southeast. Leland is one of the fastest growing areas in coastal Carolina, and for Jud, it only seemed natural to continue the legacy in Brunswick County too. The newly completed building measures an impressive 13,000 square feet and is 25% larger than the original Wrightsville Beach brewery. The Leland-created craft beers will offer locals a tantalizing selection of options. Along with a sizeable menu like Wrightsville Beach brewery including its most popular and unique items as well such as fried calamari and a Cuban sandwich.

Brunswick Beer and Cider will involve more than just a taproom. Local craft beers will be produced here, and the brewery will allow for more local jobs! It’s a win-win situation for Brunswick Forest, The Villages Town Center, and the town of Leland!

Stop by and Have a Pint

Now that the doors have opened, the brewery is set to make waves around town. Whether it’s sharing a brew with your neighbors, hosting guests at a special party, or looking for an area to wind down for the weekend, Brunswick Beer and Cidery and the Villages Town Center is the place to be. Be sure to stop by and see the new location!
