Practically since the day developers broke ground in 2006, sales of Brunswick Forest homes and home sites have soared—even through the nationwide housing downturn. And they’ve shown no signs of slowing down.

“We have a hard time keeping inventory,” said Jerry Helms, Director of Sales for Brunswick Forest. “It’s not whether people are going to find something they like, it’s whether or not what they like will still be available.”

Helms noted that more than 1,100 families have chosen to call Brunswick Forest home since its inception, including 250 new families so far this year. “Homes sell so quickly, we have to continuously build to keep up with demand,” he said.

On September 28, 2013, from 10 am until 3 pm, the public is invited to come see what the fuss is all about. Brunswick Forest is hosting its second annual community-wide Open House Day, showcasing more than 30 homes and home sites in a single day. Properties available for tour will include builder homes, home sites, resale homes and model homes.

“Our Open House is a celebration of very strong partnerships between Brunswick Forest’s developer, home builders and local real estate brokers,” said Helms. “People who are actively house-shopping, as well as those who simply enjoy looking at beautiful homes, can tour Brunswick Forest’s wide variety of home options, from town homes beginning in the $200,000s, to custom homes on Cape Fear National golf course.

“It’s a very attractive range of styles, sizes and price points,” he said, “and all include the fabulous Brunswick Forest amenity package, and therefore lifestyle, as part of the deal.”

Helms said people tend to be very surprised that they can live a country club-like lifestyle, without the price tag it usually carries. He also points out that the amenities are already in place for residents to start enjoying the day they move in, and new ones are in the works as the community continues to grow.

Brunswick Forest is home to beautiful Cape Fear National Golf Course, plus a handsome Fitness and Wellness Center that includes indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and pickleball courts, a full range of exercise equipment and classes, and comfortable spaces for meeting and socializing. Biking and walking trails link neighbors to each other, to amenities throughout the development, and to The Villages, the community’s commercial area featuring an impressive array of goods and services, including a grocery store, pharmacy, retail shops, dining options and medical services. And the River Club provides access to a deck, a dock, and facilities from which to launch a kayak, canoe, or small fishing boat.

A third swimming pool with a smaller fitness center onsite will begin construction this year and will be completed for use in 2014. While it is located central to several new Brunswick Forest neighborhoods, the new facilities are for the entire community.

“Proximity to downtown Wilmington and area beaches has always been a primary Brunswick Forest amenity, as well,” said Helms. “It’s an unparalleled package that has contributed to Brunswick Forest becoming the coastal South’s fastest-growing community.”

Open House visitors will also have the opportunity for direct access to all the builders, who will have representatives onsite to answer questions about each home’s features and construction techniques. Attendees can even sample a bit of the lifestyle by enjoying lunch at The Forest, located at the Cape Fear National Clubhouse.

On Saturday, a map of the properties included in the Open House will be available at the Brunswick Forest Welcome Center, just inside the entrance at 1007 Evangeline Drive. To further identify properties for sale, homes included in the event will have signage out front.

For residents of Wilmington and neighboring areas, it’s a great opportunity to come out and discover why a community located right here in our region is creating such a buzz and defying trends on the national scene.
