CAPE FEAR NATIONAL’S ASSISTANT PRO, BLAKE VALAND

Blake Valand, who previously worked at Porters Neck Country Club, has brought his golf expertise to Cape Fear National as the Assistant Golf Professional. Mr. Valand loves his role here at Cape Fear National managing the MGA and LGA groups as well as offering golf lessons and clinics.

“I have been teaching the game of golf for several years now and I have developed a fun, simplistic way to learn the game of golf. Golf is not hard, but we tend to make it complicated. I love to see people get excited about finally hitting great shots whether that is a beginning golfer or an elite tour player. I have spent a lot of time working on my own philosophy for the golf swing and I’ve learned from other instructor’s valuable insight as to the golf swing itself,” expresses Blake.

Blake’s knowledge of this wonderful game serves as his biggest asset in this position. “I am excited to see what the future brings here as I help grow the teaching program.  Come take a swing with me at Cape Fear National.”
