The North Brunswick Kiwanis Club is a 501(c)(3) organization whose aim is to help children in need in northern Brunswick County. The club was founded in 2011 and now has almost 40 members—more than half of which are Brunswick Forest residents.

The group works with area children and frequently partners with other charitable organizations and Communities in Schools to help provide clothing and school supplies to underprivileged kids. The North Brunswick Kiwanis Club averages more than 1,000 service hours worked each month to help area children.

CLUB VOLUNTEER AND CHARITY WORK
Some of the activities club members participate in are reading to school children, tutoring and serving as a lunch buddy mentor to kids who are in need of a trusted adult confidant. Area schools also have Kiwanis Clubs like the high school Key Club and middle school Builders Club which require both a faculty and Kiwanis Club member advisor.

FUNDRAISING
Fundraising is integral to what the North Brunswick Kiwanis Club does. Some of their monetary needs are met through membership dues, however most of the money they raise is through fundraising. Their largest fundraiser is their annual Juice, Jazz and Java event which is held each September at Cape Fear National at Brunswick Forest. There is also the upcoming Pickleball Tournament which will take place April 25th and is put together by the Brunswick Forest Pickleball Club. Most recently, the North Brunswick Kiwanis Club held a pancake breakfast fundraiser at the Leland Applebee’s restaurant.

GET INVOLVED
Club meetings for the North Brunswick Kiwanis Club are held at 6:30 pm the first Tuesday of every month at the Magnolia Greens Clubhouse and at 8 am on the third Tuesday of every month at Cape Fear National.
The North Brunswick Kiwanis Club is hoping to gain new members and engage local area residents who are passionate about helping area children.
