Doing a half-year review on the activity surrounding Brunswick Forest requires taking in the whole picture. It’s not just about the numbers, it’s about what they represent.

“Families from 43 states and two other countries have decided to make Brunswick Forest their home,” said Jerry Helms, Director of Sales for Brunswick Forest. “It’s everything we can do to keep up with demand.”

Helms credits the success of Brunswick Forest to the community itself. “It really is the product,” he said. “It’s our job to show people the Brunswick Forest lifestyle. Once they see what it’s like to live here—which includes Wilmington and the surrounding community— it’s up to them to decide if it’s a good fit.”

Far and away, it usually is.

“We used to welcome a new family every other day,” said Helms. “Now, on average, we are welcoming a new family every single day. In June of this year, we welcomed 38 new families to Brunswick Forest.”

Homes That Live Up To The Hype

Helms spoke of three types of real estate opportunities at Brunswick Forest. “Some people want to buy a finished home and move in right away,” he said, adding that there are featured homes that are furnished and decorated for tours every day. Others, he said, purchase a site, build their home, and are residents six months later. “And due to the high level of interest in the community,” he concluded, “some are anxious to secure a premium home site now, and hold it until they are ready to build on it in the future.”

“Our team spends a good deal of time with each customer, getting to know their goalsand expectations,” said Helms. “It’s not a one-size-fits-all solution.”

Among the homes visitors can tour are the two 2014 Ideal Homes, as designated by Ideal-Living magazine. Brunswick Forest was the first community ever chosen as the site of two Ideal Homes in the same year. Both of the homes have been sold, but will continue to be open for public tours through the end of the year.

Additionally, several members of the Brunswick Forest Builder Team won gold, silver and bronze awards in the 2014 Parade of Homes, in various size and price categories.

Variety, in fact, is a main ingredient in the Brunswick Forest recipe for success. “We don’t just build the same thing over and over,” said Helms. “Our builders keep up with trends and technology, and we are always adding new types of homes to our existing neighborhoods, as well as introducing new neighborhoods. Visitors can look forward to new styles of living and newneighborhoods in the second half of 2014.”

Getting In On The Action

Sales are not the only measures of success at Brunswick Forest. So far in 2014, the community has also set attendance records at many of its public events and added neighborhood amenities. Hammock Pool, the third in the development, opened earlier this summer, while Cape Fear National golf course (located within Brunswick Forest) has been adding new events to its social and dining calendar, with increasing numbers monthly.

Helms said the community’s activity hub, its handsome Fitness and Wellness Center, has updated its offerings by purchasing new exercise machines, and they now have massage therapists available six days a week onsite. Popular events, such as kayak outings and late-night swims, have grown from one night a month to several, because of demand.

Plus, the residents themselves are always adding clubs and activities, said Helms. The fishing club is new this year, and the pickleball player roster is up to more than 200 members, with some type of play every day of the week. “Brunswick Forest offers a truly active and friendly group of people,” said Helms. “Friendships seem to take root immediately and grow exponentially.”

At The Villages at Brunswick Forest, the commercial center just inside the residential entrance, a new building was completed earlier in 2014, with three new businesses now open: Tideline Home Fashions, JordanBuilt Homes and Hollywood Nails & Spa. Bessie Burgers, the fourth and final business to share the space, is scheduled to open before year’s end.

Come See For Yourself

“In Brunswick Forest, the developers have put into place a unique combination of attractive architecture, desirable amenities and surprisingly competitive pricing,” said Helms. “Add the captivating coastal North Carolina location, and it’s no wonder that sales have continued to soar. We simply show people around and most of the time, they can’t help but like what they see.”
